Our Living Hope is a facilitated faith-based group rooted in the truth that transformation happens when the heart is healed, not when behavior is controlled. Drawing from biblical principles and the heart-centered teachings found in Moving Your Invisible Boundaries by Dr. Jim Richards, this space exists to help women break free from legalism, identity confusion, and false beliefs that keep them bound in shame and fear.
Many women come into recovery with a distorted view of God and a fractured understanding of who they are. Legalism tells them they must earn God’s love. Shame tells them they are broken beyond repair. False beliefs tell them they will never change. Our Living Hope gently challenges these lies by extending the invisible boundaries of the heart—creating room for truth, grace, and healing to take root.
This group is not about performance or perfection. It is about learning how to live from the heart rather than the mind, and how to relate to God not as a judge, but as a loving Father. We focus on helping women see God rightly, so they can begin to see themselves rightly.
At the core of Our Living Hope is the finished work of the cross. We affirm that Christ has already dealt fully with sin, condemnation, and separation. The wrath of God was satisfied through the sacrifice of His Son. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Identity is not formed through past mistakes, addiction, trauma, or labels—it is established through Christ alone.
Through guided devotionals, Scripture, prayer, meditation, and reflective discussion, we create an environment where women can:
• release false beliefs about God and themselves
• heal from shame, guilt, and fear
• learn the difference between conviction and condemnation
• understand the heart as the center of identity and transformation
• grow in conscious contact with God through prayer and meditation
• rest in grace instead of striving for approval
We intentionally incorporate Step Eleven practices—prayer, meditation, and surrender—to help women slow down, listen, and experience God rather than simply learn about Him. Using prayers such as the St. Francis Prayer, participants are invited to become channels of peace rather than prisoners of self-judgment.
Our Living Hope is a space where women are affirmed, questions are safe, and healing unfolds in step with God’s grace for each woman’s journey. As trust in God’s goodness grows in the heart, freedom begins to emerge naturally.
This group fosters a right relationship with God—one rooted in love, truth, and the reality of who He is and who we are in Christ. As invisible boundaries are expanded, women begin to live from a place of security rather than survival, faith rather than fear, and hope rather than shame.
You are not condemned.
You are not forgotten.
You are not beyond healing.
You are already loved.
And in Christ, that hope is alive.
This truth anchors everything else. Without it, people live in fear and self-judgment.
Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
John 3:17
“For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge and condemn the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”
Galatians 3:13
“Christ purchased our freedom… by Himself becoming a curse for us.”
We help women break free from condemnation and self-punishment by anchoring their identity in what Christ has already accomplished. #thefinishedwork
New Creation, not self-improvement. Transformation rather than behavior modification.
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if any person is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the fresh and new has come.”
Ephesians 1:4
“He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless in His sight, in love.”
Colossians 2:10
“You are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life.”
Legalism focuses on fixing behavior. The gospel transforms identity first, and behavior follows.
Internal change, not external pressure
Colossians 3:15
“Let the peace of Christ rule (act as umpire) in your hearts.”
Philippians 4:7
“The peace of God… shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 6:11
“Consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
True change happens when the heart is healed and guided by truth, not fear.
Living from grace, not performance
Galatians 5:1
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
Galatians 2:16
“A person is justified not by works of the law but through faith in Christ Jesus.”
Colossians 2:20
“If you have died with Christ… why do you live as if you still belong to the world?”
Our Living Hope intentionally dismantles legalistic thinking and replaces it with grace-based truth.
Hope that is alive, not theoretical
Colossians 1:26–27
“The mystery… is Christ within you, the hope of glory.”
1 Peter 1:3
“We have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
Hebrews 7:25
“He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him.”
Hope is not wishful thinking. It is a living reality anchored in Christ Himself.
